Some thought that the burlesque industry will disappear after a few years, but what a joy to show them how wrong they were.
With the Tempest Storm movie recently released in Canada, it is time for "The European Burlesque - The Bare Naked Truth" to show the interest the scene sparks. And can we complain that this burlesque documentary sector is therefore experiencing a boom? Of course not! There is always something new we can learn about burlesque and the fantastic performers that make this community so special!

The production company began shooting the documentary in March and anticipate an additional 2 years to complete it.
"We were inspired to explore the world of burlesque through another film we are producing. We are creating a film about Mata Hari. In the course of making this fascinating film many of our extras were part of the the Burlesque world." Says Susan Becker, from Red Spoke Media
WHO IS MATA HARI?

As we met members of the burlesque community we became curious about their stories, experiences and their performances. I was especially interested to see how empowering, transformative and creative burlesque was for the performers. We were fascinated by the contrast between the performers stage persona and their everyday selves." Adds Susan
"After initial research we decided to commit to making a film about European Burlesque. The performers have varied and compelling stories to tell and of course burlesque is visually stunning - a great combo for a film! We think audiences around the world will find burlesque as surprising and entertaining as we do. We want to reveal the bare naked truth about burlesque as it continues to grow in Europe." concludes Susan
